  2. CALL TO ORDER
    • Meeting called to order at 5:34 pm
  3. SELF INTRODUCTIONS
    • 20 people in attendance.

    • Greg Shriver motion to approve and Darrell Chappel provided the second.
  6. TREASURER REPORT

  9. SPEAKER
    • Russell King, (Power point presentation)
    • Nandi provided a brief introduction to the presenter Russell King from BayRen
    • Discussion was a comprehensive review of residential energy compliance measures that included:
      • Residential new construction compliance
      • Registry is written for building departments to keep track of energy forms.
      • Checklist on what to check with the CF1R vs the plans
      • Compliance process flow chart for energy site review
      • CF2R- Certificate of installation completed and signed by installer
      • CF3R- Completed by the HERS rater
      • EDR1 vs EDR2- Energy design ratings
      • Prescriptive path vs performance path
    • Topics also covered included Comprehensive residential energy code compliance processes, compliance forms, prescriptive and performance approaches, and HERS features, with a focus on new construction, larger additions, detailed instructions on plan checking CF1R-PRF-01 Certificates of Compliance.

  12. AGENCIES REPORT
    • Doug Hughes: CALBO updates
      • Annual ABM announcement- provide link to CALBO APRIL 21-25
      • Indian Wells- BOLA (Building Official Leadership Academy) and Permit Tech class
      • May the 15th leadership and advocacy day at the capital, all are encouraged to attend
      • Brady Gurtin moved to CAL League of Cities from CALBO
    • Will Foote provide further discussion regarding the leadership and advocacy day, please see the link here
    • Brian Frenger provided an announcement regarding CBOAC, they will be having the annual ABM at the Flamingo Resort in Santa Rosa November 4th-6th. Link
  13. NEW BUSINESS
    • Solar App training-April- Nandi provided an announcement on future training on how to use Solar app for inspectors in the field. This will be a ½ day training in April. Rachel reiterated the future training, a training flier will be provided shortly.
    • ICC Annual Report/ ICC Benefits- Rick provided information regarding the filed annual report. The chapter is now a preferred provider.
      • Emails sent to group to be blind copied (BCC) due to potential email concerns
  14. OLD BUSINESS
    • Website update- Brian provided an update, new Website launch at the end of next week.
    • Education Committee Volunteers- Rick asked for volunteers for assistance with the chapter. Nandi mentioned assistance with minor items on the education committee.
    • Rick- announced the use of Zell, Venmo and PayPal for the chapter payments and events.
    • Nandi- announced a potential events committee and chapter meetings in the morning or lunch
    • Will Foote provided an option for advertising with SVABO regarding future classes. Please see the SVABO link
  15. INSPECTOR TIME
    • Please bring your code items for discussion!
    • Discussion regarding ADA clearance at individual stalls versus single accommodation. Back of the wall to door 54”
