Overview of the 2016 California Residential Code

FULL DAY SEMINAR SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR:

This full day course will provide an overview of the non-structural and structural provisions of the California Residential Code. The first half of the course will focus on select non-structural California Residential Code requirements. The second half of the course will provide an in depth review of California Residential Code wall bracing requirements.

This course is designed for plan check, inspection and counter staff that are interested in obtaining a greater understanding of the California Residential Code.

CREDITS:

This course approved for on-going education hours. A certificate of continuing education will be provided at the conclusion of class.

SPEAKERS:

Ron Beehler, SE, CBO
Director of Building Safety Services

Ron is a licensed Structural and Civil Engineer in the states of CA and NV and has over 30 years’ experience performing life safety, accessibility and structural plan reviews for residential, commercial and healthcare facilities in California. Ron has taught classes on a variety of structural topics for CALBO, Southern Nevada EduCode, and multiple local ICC Chapters and professional organizations throughout CA

ICC Certified Plans Examiner

Charles is a licensed Civil Engineer and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Juja, Kenya. Charles is also a graduate of California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo with a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Charles has been with Interwest Consulting Group since 2014

Denise studied Building Inspection Technology at Consumnes River College and is an ICC Certified CALGreen Inspector and Plans Examiner with experience as a building plans examiner and permit technician. Denise has been with Interwest Consulting Group since 2014
